Mitsubishi Motors sets Canadian sales record in Q3
MISSISSAUGA, ON, October 7, 2024 – After a record-breaking 2023 that set a new bar for sales in Canada, Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada (MMSCAN) committed to its dealers that it would continue that momentum into 2024. Three-quarters of the way through the calendar year and the upward trend of the Japanese car brand is continuing.
MMSCAN had its best-ever September with Total Sales of 3,372 units, wrapping up a record-breaking third quarter of Calendar Year 2024 with Total Sales of 11,454 units, a 23% increase over the same period last year. The award-winning Outlander PHEV had its best-ever September for Total Sales with 1,080 units. For the year, MMSCAN has sold 10,287 Outlander PHEVs, crossing the 10,000 mark for sales in a calendar year for the first-time in the vehicle’s history in Canada.
For year to date, Total Sales for Mitsubishi’s lineup in Canada now stands at 29,693 units, a 9.3% increase over the first three quarters of 2023. The brand finished 2023 with Total Sales of 35,708 units.

2025 Models Arriving in Showrooms
The 2025 Outlander PHEV arrived in dealerships across the country over the past few weeks while the rest of the 2025 lineup will roll out over the next five months.
New for 2025 in the Outlander PHEV lineup is the addition of the SE S-AWC trimline, which lands between the ES and LE models and aligns the Outlander PHEV lineup with that of the Outlander gas model.
The new Outlander PHEV SE S-AWC trim includes all of the ES trim equipment, but adds silver front and rear skid plate styling, LED fog lights, power-folding function to the heated power side-view mirrors, silver roof rails, power panoramic sunroof, three-zone climate control, smartphone wireless charger, FAST-Key keyless entry, heated steering wheel and hands-free power liftgate.
